Now we use the word Robinsonade about any story, poem, film and programme in which a person or people become separated from normal civilisation. Books might include Lord of the Flies and The Life of Pi and films like Cast Away and Ad Astra.
Step 2
Add up the total weight of the list of items you have chosen. You may have to cut back on things if you have exceeded the weight limit.
Step 3
Explain how you are going to use the items you have chosen to complete the tasks on the list.
LEVEL UP:
Probably the most famous story about a sailor being shipwrecked is Robinson Crusoe written by Daniel Defoe in 1719. It is partly based on the real-life adventures of a sailor called Alexander Selkirk who was marooned on an island in the Caribbean Sea for about four years. Research more about the story.
Compare your list with that of a friend. What were the major similarities and differences? Justify your choices to one another. Can you collaborate and come up with an ultimate list that completes all the tasks excellently?
