almost impossible to visualize . Trauma , hate and fear seem to have become the central fuel for our world , along with the many leaders who seem to have forgotten the needs of those they serve .
As I sit here on a beautiful summer day able to affirm “ ” הֶַ֭ז ה ־ ָשָׂע ה֣ ֑ה 18 this is the day that the Divine has made , simple solutions to our pain are hard to find . Given what I have learned , here is my offering toward healing – when you sing ( as Debbie Friedman z ’’ l once taught me – we are all capable of singing ), listen to those singing around you . Find a way for your voice to connect with theirs . It is a small step , a very small step , but a way forward of not feeling so alone , so afraid .
Even as we turn to the Divine , I invite you to turn to one another and find a way forward , not in fear and anger , but with love , hope and a sense of connection .
