As part of the development of the Annual Action Plan, we ask residents to fill out a survey and provide insights on their community. This information helps us analyze program needs and allocations. If you are interested in providing feedback you can complete the survey online. Access the survey here or learn more about the City ' s CDBG funding at CityofPSL. com / cdbg.
New Deep Injection Well
A 130-foot-tall drill rig at the Prineville Water Treatment Facility is part of the construction equipment being used to build a second deep injection well, which is expected to be completed in May 2026. Deep injection wells are an environmentally approved disposal method for the mineral byproduct or concentrate resulting from the reverse osmosis treatment process, like the one used at the Prineville plant. The new deep injection well will be 3,350 feet deep, approximately 2,000 feet below the deepest drinking water wells in the Floridan Aquifer and will serve as a backup to the existing deep injection well.
