“It Isn’t Often That A Vendor Invites A Sizable Number Of Overclockers To An Event Which Isn’t Primarily About Breaking Records.” Edition cards in SLI in conjunction with HOF DDR4-4600 HOF OC Lab Edition memory. In 3DMark Time spy, they recorded a two-way score of 32,193 points with both GPUs clocked in at a respectable 2,385MHz. A score which as you would expect by now, was bested by two GALAX GeForce RTX 2080Ti HOF OC Lab Edition cards with a GPU clock of 2,490MHz respectively. Added to these scores, was a two-way Time Spy result of 15,882 (currently 3rd) and a single card Time Spy score of 19,509. The rest included a mighty 40,329 in 3DMark Fire strike (2nd in worldwide), 22,174 in Fire strike extreme and finally 11,582 in Fire strike ultra. Incredible results all around and a true testament of what GALAX hardware, mainly the HOF DRAM and GPU can do in capable hands. Worth noting and perhaps in the collaborative spirit of the celebration, is that a number of ROG Rampage and APEX boards were used which by allowed the HOF DRAM to go the distance without issue or compromise. Boards which by general consensus among the overclockers seem unmatched for the most part. That said, it isn’t often that a vendor invites a sizable number of overclockers to an event which isn’t primarily about breaking record. Yet in the case of this 5th anniversary celebration, GALAX did just that by inviting overclockers into their lab for the sole purpose of just overclocking and celebrating all things related to overclocking. Of course, it didn’t hurt that while they were made available to the OC Lab, they could give feedback on the latest HOF DRAM and of course the GALAX GeForce RTX 2080Ti HOF OC Lab Edition graphics card. As has become the norm over the last few years, this sort of graphics card is not only difficult to make, but costs a small fortune as well at retail. True as that may be, it didn’t prevent all the allocated retail cards from being sold out almost immediately after announcement. Most of which, if not all of them in China. At over $2,000 for a single one, it says much about overclocking. The hobbyists are there, but they lack access to pure overclocking hardware for the most part. When an opportunity to buy such hardware as this arises, there are many fans and enthusiasts willing to pay for this level of engineering and performance. Yes, the 5th Anniversary wasn’t necessarily about this graphics card, but it is undeniable that it remained the focal point for the entire week. Not necessarily because of the wonderful ray tracing abilities, but largely because off the immense computational power it brings over the TITAN-X and 1080Ti. As such, 3D benchmark numbers were bound to scale new heights accordingly. Better still, there simply isn’t a or more accessible GeForce RTX 2080 Ti for extreme overclocking. It will come as no surprise then that currently, every single 3D Benchmark record on HWBOT has this particular GPU to its credit. It’s in such hardware and events that GALAX walks a healthy line between offering gamers hardware they can afford and giving overclockers the most control and tuning capability possible in their HOF range.
