What is your single greatest or most
memorable overclocking event and/
or achievement?
So a big goal of mine was to get 8Ghz.
I pulled that off on a livestream with
the FX 9590. But most memorable
event I think would be The Big Freeze
event that I went to earlier this year
because that was my first OC event/
Lan and getting to bench with other
people and that much LN2 available
was amazing even if my Sabertooth’s
insulation wasn’t on point and I was
having to stop benching every 30 to
60 minutes.
The TitanX has come out and
overnight changed the rankings.
Given that it doesn’t overclock at all
or at the very least does not require
any LN2 cooling to go far, do you see
this and similar GPUs presenting
such a problem going forward for
competitive overclocking?
I don’t think the competitiveness is
tied to the LN2. LN2 certainly raises
the skill ceiling but I feel as long as
there is something that keeps the
skill ceiling high then you can have
fun competition. As for the TITAN XP
specifically. I talked to Dancop about
the card a little and I don’t believe
that we’ve seen the limit of what the
card can do.

Other than overclocking, what other
interests do you have which occupy
as much time if not more?
I first built my PC for gaming and I
still game quite a lot. Other than that
I love metal/rock music and have
an extensive collection. I’ve also
dabbled in making music but my
success with getting anything that is
listenable has been non existent.
feasible or are you thinking perhaps
there’s a time when you may have
other commitments which may not
necessarily allow you to be active in
overclocking?
I want to keep overclocking as long
as I can. Right now I’m a student so
I have lots of time but in the future I
may not have enough time to OC as
much as I do now.
Outside of overclocking do you do
any serious gaming?
I do play quite a lot of games. Right
now I play a lot of Planetside 2 and
Robocraft.
Finally, is there anything you’d like
to say to everyone reading this?
I’d say I’m too new to the community
and OCing to share some kind
of great overclocking wisdom.
Personally I’ve decided to take a
more chill approach to overclocking.
I’m going to bench things because I
think they are cool not because they
make
