LUMINOUS has delivered bespoke special effects for the UK’ s largest themed visitor attractions( anonymised due to contract), including the design and fabrication of an automated mechanical gimbal to simulate a large moving vehicle and the development of unique smoke and flame effects to complement and enhance a significant animatronic feature. integrated. Our work spans a range of sectors, with recent projects including bespoke SFX packages for the largest studio tour in the UK and multiple Disney Theatrical Group productions, most recently Hercules the Musical.
With a strong focus on innovation and international delivery, LUMINOUS was proud to receive the prestigious King’ s Award for Enterprise in International Trade 2024, as well as the Made in the UK, Sold to the World Award 2025 from the Department for Business and Trade.
For The VOID, an immersive virtual reality attraction, LUMINOUS provided a full sensory effects package, incorporating wind machines, mist arrays, air atomisers, scent systems, and other mechanical SFX. All elements were integrated and controlled via DMX to heighten realism and enhance the multi-sensory experience.
