Deadbeat
Overview: In a bold collaboration, Thorpe Park and Unlocked Vision Entertainment launched Deadbeat, a brand-new scare attraction for Fright Nights 2024. Set in a dark underground rave, Deadbeat plunges guests into a high-intensity world of fear, featuring live actors, special effects, and a fully immersive environment.
Challenges: With only 10 days for design and 7 weeks for full build and installation, the project demanded exceptional creativity, coordination, and speed. Construction took place alongside one of Thorpe Park’ s major rides, requiring careful logistical planning and technical execution.

Unlocked Vision were approached by Thorpe Park Resort to come up with a theme for their brand new Fright Nights attraction for 2022.
Wanting to push the boundaries of what Thorpe Park already offer, we conceptualised a high intensity, high through-put and multi route attraction.
Unlocked Vision worked closely with Thorpe park in the design of the attraction location and building structure. After many design ideas the attraction was built out of multiple containers with an interconnecting canopy which allowed for the attraction to be taken down and removed if needed.
Working with Thorpe Park Resort the team provided a full turn key service; concept attraction design; theme book; illustration and detailing; 3D modelling and CAD simulation; detailed thematic design; set, lighting and show design; audio-visual design; installation and construction; full theming of sets and props, project management. and varied, from scare attractions and events, to immersive theatrical experiences, actor led shows, and themed environments. A true turn key production company.
Unlocked Vision’ s Role: As a turnkey provider, Unlocked Vision led the full creative and technical process – from initial concept and story development to set build, AV integration, and scare design. The team delivered immersive environments packed with soundscapes, lighting, air effects, and thrilling stunt rigging.
Result: Despite tight timelines, Deadbeat quickly became a fan favourite, praised for its impactful theming, innovative gags, and unforgettable guest experience. Thorpe Park credited Unlocked Vision’ s design, technical skill, and collaborative approach as key to the attraction’ s success.
