Cheddar Gorge & Caves- Cox’ s Cave
DJW has recently completed a unique installation within Cox’ s Cave, located at Cheddar Gorge in Somerset.
Having worked globally in diverse landscapes, varying temperatures, and humid environments, we were aware of the challenges we would face..
Visitors are guided through the cave system by an animated guide named Yeo, whose name derives from the local river system.“ Yeo’ s Journey” is a unique visitor experience celebrating one of Britain’ s natural wonders. Yeo takes you on a twenty-minute tour of the caves, from when the cave floor was a seabed, showcasing the power of water and the formation of the caves, utilizing the natural beauty of Cox’ s Cave.
Cables and fixings were reused to lessen environmental, and equipment was made as unobtrusive as possible, with projectors and audio equipment stored within environmental housings to ensure longevity and ease of maintenance.
Titanic Belfast
Eleven years after DJW assisted Titanic Belfast to open its doors to visitors from all over the world, we are proud to have been part of the exceptional team responsible for delivering the refurbishment and re-imagining of over a third of the attraction. The stunning and iconic building, which houses the Titanic Experience, is situated in the heart of Belfast on the historic slipways where it all began and tells the story of the ship, from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s, through her construction and launch, to her famous maiden voyage and tragic end. The spectacular addition to the Titanic Experience, the Ship of Dreams – a 9-minute 270 ° projected immersive show around a 7.6m long scale model of RMS Titanic suspended in mid-air and illuminated with over 300 metres of LED lights, programmed‘ in sync’ with the projections. The storytelling takes guests on a reflective journey of the hopes and dreams of those impacted by the famous ship.
