available at the club. What’s on? Have
all sorts of football- and tennis-related
fun! Try your hand at Fast4Tennis, or
maybe measure the speed of your serve
with the club’s radar machine, or try
a tennis taster session. If football is
more your thing see if you can beat the
goalie. Food and a licensed bar are also

Heys Walled Garden
When? 1-4pm for croquet and garden
games (free); 5- 8pm for hog roast
(ticketed). Where?
Walled
Garden,
Witherwin Avenue, Grappenhall Heys.
Access: Parking on Witherwin Avenue or
at car park on Stansfield Drive. What’s on?
Free garden games during normal garden
opening hours 1 until 4pm. Then a hog
roast from 5pm, tickets costing £8.50 for
adults and £4 for children. Vegetarian
option available and tea, coffee and cakes
from the cafe. Bring your own drinks
and garden chairs. Tickets available in
the garden cafe on Sundays or from
Jean Heath (01925 801395). How to get
involved? Get involved in the work that
the Friends do to support the running
of the Walled Garden at both events
and on the popular Sunday afternoons.

St Wilfrid’s Church,
Grappenhall
When? Church open to visitors 12-4pm;
rock choir concert at 7:30pm. Where? St
Wilfrid’s Church, Church Lane. Access:
Wheelchair access; parking behind
Parish Centre. What’s on? The church is
open for visitors to explore. There will be
a prayer trail for visitors to explore the
theme of spirituality. Guides will also
be on hand to talk about the history of
the church. Guided visits around the bell
tower will also be available. Tickets for
the rock choir concert are available from
the church.
How to get involved?
There are Sunday morning at 8am and
10am, followed by coffee, every week.
