Going for Gold!
Lauren, who lives in Grappenhall,
was born with Spinabifida and
Hydracephalus which has affected her
everyday life. Despite the challenges
faced throughout her life she was
determined to never let her disability get
the better of her and recently took the
post of Marketing and Publicity Director
at Lymm Festival. She has now embarked
on a journey of victory and inspiration
for others.
Lauren was lucky enough to land a place
with Archery GB on their Paralympic
Academy last year after attending an
assessment day. She now wants to aim
to go to Rio 2016 and to hold the most
important titles in the Archery world.
However, her disability had deteriorated
in the past couple of years so she decided
to take action and opt for a life changing
operation in January this year.

surgery to stop her disability getting
any worse and to stop the pain she was
