Black Sheep Wools
Here at Black Sheep Wools, nestled in
the village of Culcheth, Warrington you
will find an Aladdin’s cave of yarn, cross
stitch and fabric. The Black Sheep Craft
Barn proudly stocks the biggest and best
selection of products for all your knitting
and needlecraft needs. On arrival you will
be greeted by an explosion of colour and
texture from the overwhelming choice
we have to offer. Last year we opened up
our fabric room where you will discover
so many gorgeous fabrics perfect for
quilter’s and patchwork enthusiasts.
Sharing our passion for crafts is what we
are about and all members of staff enjoy
either knitting, crochet, cross stitch or
patchwork, and many would put a tick in
all four boxes. They are always on hand to
offer expert advice. Every Friday morning
we hold a free S.O.S (Save Our Stitches)
session where you can bring in a pattern
or project you are struggling with and we
will help to solve the problem.

We host fabulous workshops taught
by our talented staff and Rowan tutors.
Choose from learn to crochet, learn to
sew, patchwork, fair isle knitting and
many more! Our full day workshops
include all materials, delicious lunch and
a slice of scrumptious, homemade cake to
re-charge the batteries in the afternoon.
After a recent crochet workshop a
customer commented, ‘there is nothing
to improve on - you can’t improve on
perfection!’
Our annual sale takes place in store every
May and is a much anticipated event for
many knitters and crafters from all over
the country. One lady makes the trip every
year all the way from Dundee! A popular
attraction at our sale is the ‘yarn dive’,
which is a huge pile of packets, upon
packets of yarn piled high. Everyone who
visits the sale can’t resist taking a dip.
