3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing (AM), refers to processes used to create a three- dimensional object in which layers of material are formed under computer control to create an object. [Wikipedia] The house has been successfully PRINTED! In a town outside Moscow, a new house has been built. However, it wasn't erected in the traditional way. This house was 3D printed! The technology startup Apis Cor engineered the first 3D printed house. It took about 24 hours to build with a cost of eleven thousand dollars. The 3D printer constructed the house's walls as a whole connected structure instead of building it in separate panels as it's usually built. Then, a group of contractors finished the home by fixing the windows and the roof. The Apis Cor technology hopes to show that the 3D printed houses are eco-friendly, reliable, fast and efficient than traditional built homes. "We want to help people around the world to improve their living conditions," Nikita Chen-yun-tai, Apis Cor's founder and inventor of the mobile printer, said on the company's website. "That's why the construction process needs to become fast, efficient and high-quality as well. For this to happen, we need to delegate all the hard work to smart machines." Video Mohamed Mohamed
