Confidence
You must be confident with who you are , irrespective of your physical appearance , color , status , job title , or where you are from . Be confident and own your space .
Presentation of Self
You never know who is looking on . The first impression is important , so always think to leave a positive one . Wherever you are , be the best of yourself and whatever you do , do it to your best ; let your work and various engagements be representational of you .
Humility
It is essential to be humble and listen to others because they , too , have something to say . We all can agree to disagree as the case may be . Be understanding and caring of others .
Know that failure is not the end .
When my students fail at passing a course or an assignment , I encourage them by illustrating the letter " C " on a blank paper with a straight line going through it from bottom to top . The straight line signifies the ideal ; one ’ s expectation of reaching one ’ s ultimate goal from start to finish . However , there will be times when , a straight line will not get you there because of the many challenges . We then have to detour . It may take longer , but in the end , it spells success . Hence , failure is when you stop trying .

Identify your purpose
Ask your parents , family , friends and associates to help you identify your purpose . Make a note and tick off your personality traits and your passion , and use them to guide you towards your purpose .
Try not to be envious or jealous of another person
Use their accomplishment / s as your benchmark . Find out who you are and what is your ‘ calling ’ in life . According to Oprah Winfrey : There is no greater gift that you can give or receive than to honor your calling ; it was why you were born and how you come alive . I find this to be a profound statement . It allows an individual to focus on and nurture his / her life ’ s purpose .
Be positive engage with positive people
Individuals who will lead you along the pathway of positivity . Separate yourself from negative environments . As the old adage says : Birds of a feather flock together . Find your flock of birds , but make sure that flock demonstrates positive mannerism and aura that are based on legal , ethical and moral premises .
