Create an outdoor environment with a variety of activities and learning experiences that can serve as extensions of the indoor learning environment .
HERE ARE 10 DO IT YOURSELF OUTDOOR SPACES THAT CHILDREN AGES 2-12 CAN ENJOY : -
1 . Make a blackboard using plyboard , coloured chalks and black chalkboard paint , or use an existing whiteboard and place the same outside with coloured dry erase markers .
2 . Create a sandbox using a tree log , cinder blocks , or large tyre filling the inside with sand
3 . Create a mini vegetable garden — fast-growing crops will inspire children and get them involved in watering and weeding the garden area .
4 . Spark their imagination by creating a space in the yard with plants that they can engage in imaginative play . Dinosaurs , cars , trucks , the possibilities are endless . 5 . Create a tree swing using rope and a car tyre or board for seating . 6 . Create a football field using a bottle filled with water to represent the goal post . 7 . Make a Tetherball playset 8 . Make a See-Saw 9 . Create a Hop Scotch with stepping stones 10 . Balance Beam
Whatever you create , ensure that you join in the fun and also to enhance their creative experience . They may just need you to assist them from climbing onto the swing or your help in building a sandcastle . When parents and children share in activities , it helps produce a strong emotional bond and a sense of trust .
