When I got started in business , I made many mistakes and faced many roadblocks . I wished I had someone to hold my hand and guide me .
dissatisfied and unhappy wasn ' t the way to go . She used her last 75 dollars and created her first business selling lipsticks . This decision ushered her into the domain of entrepreneurship . Tamie hasn ' t looked back since . She is the owner and operator of Tamie ' s Kollection , an online clothing store whose mission is to make women look sexy and feel confident . She created Tamie ' s Kollection out of her personal need to find clothes that supplemented her body aesthetics . She believes in helping aspiring business leaders grow and reach business success . In so doing , Tamie hosts a weekly Zoom meeting to educate entrepreneurs on branding , marketing , and increasing revenue through visibility on social media .
Tamie holds a degree in early childhood education and is enthusiastic about building up the next generation . Every year , Tamie helps parents with back-to-school shopping to alleviate the added financial burden disenfranchised communities face . Tamie credits her faith in God and having a solid support system for keeping her grounded . She took a chance on herself by rising above depression to cultivating a firm mindset , something she believes is vital in developing business stamina .
Tamie is setting things in motion to legitimize her Let ' s Build Foundation , an avenue she will use to give back to underserved communities in Jamaica . In the same breath , she created the Let ' s Build Academy to offer resources and strategies to business startups to help them leverage social media for their businesses . On September 22 , 2021 , Tamie released her first e-book , $ 75 and a Dream : The Entrepreneurial Journey , to share her experiences in business . When asked why she wanted to share her story , Tamie had this to say : Tamie : " When I got started in business , I made many mistakes and faced many roadblocks . I wished I had someone to hold my hand and guide me . The sad truth was that people did not help or only wanted to help to ensure that it served them . I wrote this e-book to share the blueprint I used to increase my visibility and revenue by applying structure and strategies to my business .
