He leadeth me beside the still waters , He restoreth my soul — if you are exhausted , and you can ' t go any further , He is right on time to restore your soul . Yea , though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death , I will fear no evil , for Thou art with me , Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me . Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me , all , not some , Jackie , but all the days of my life . And I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever … I used to say that no less than 20 or 30 times for the day . Now , I don ’ t say it as often , not because I choose not to , but my spirit is a little more settled now than 10 years ago .
TBWM : I love that Psalm . If you could use a word or a slogan to describe yourself , what would it be ? Dr . Swaby : I ' m thinking , I ' m thinking about it * laughter *. One word or phrase you said — fearless .
TBWM : Fearless , okay . Why ? What does that mean to you ? Dr . Swaby : Because I fear very little . I don ' t fear bankruptcy . I don ' t fear hate coming from people . I don ' t fear failure because I work so hard at success , and failure teaches you a lot . Whenever I have challenges , I like to say , bring it on people , bring it on devil . don ' t fear a future that you think you can see , and so I don ' t act out of fear or run from anything .
TBWM : Were you were always like that ? Or was it a character trait you developed over time ? Dr . Swaby : Yes , I think I ' ve always been like that ; I am sharing with you that there is nothing in this world that you should be afraid of . Because every single thing can and will bring you a lesson . No matter how tough it is receive it , look at it , meditate on it , then say , what am I learning from this ? I don ' t fear death ; I have been there and have done that . I am just in love with life , amazed by God ’ s grace , His mercy , and His constant forgiveness . I am amazed at how much we let him down , and he still receives us
TBWM : Absolutely amazing , I love all of this . So , my last question is , how do you want persons to remember you ? Dr . Swaby : As somebody who cared , and for my patients to remember me as someone who cared for them . Many people don ' t feel loved or have someone who cared , and I need to play my part . I want to be remembered as an authentic person and a doctor who tried to change the world … one booty at a time .
