Exisiting
Building Analysis
Using the exisiting building’s plan to
understand more within the originality of the
Sailing Club to inspire the design and concept.
Visiting the Sailing Club has made me
understood the structure entirely, personally,
the space within the building felt slim
especially with the two colliding front doors
as the main starting point of the journey
within the building. The staircase to from the
ground floor to the first floor was cramped
and claustrophobic, however despite the
negative side of the stairs it inspired me to
recreate and redevelope that kind of feeling
within the proposed design and concept. As a
‘Theatre Hotel’ using the staircase as one of
the aspect of conveying mood and
atmosphere for the visitors.
Both first floor and second floor were a little
more spcaious than the ground floor as they
didnt contain any sort of closed up walls and
with that said both of FF and SF have
elongating windows viewing out of the front
elevation of the Quebec House and the sea,
with view like that it creates an inviting
impact for the visitors.
Bar - When i visited the buildin
the bar seems as the main
interaction point for the
members of the club and it has
way of brining people together
so I want to include a bar into t
design.
