Spieth is in the list for opposite reason.
Just turned 20, he won on the PGA
Tour earlier this year when he was
still only 19 years old. There are lots of
promising young players competing at
the highest level just now, but Spieth is
the cream of the crop. He had a realistic
chance of winning the FedEx Cup how astonishing is that. And it appears
that he has no weaknesses in his game.
Worryingly for his rivals, he is only
going to get better.
He briefly contended at Muirfield don't be at all surprised to see him win
his first major in 2014. And he is a shooin for the American Ryder Cup team.
Spieth is young enough to be captain
Tom Watson's grandson. In fact, he is so
good that he may well be Tom Watson's
grandson!

Last, but only in this list, is Stenson.
His comeback in 2013 eclipses
anything achieved in any other sport,
by any other person (man or woman),
anywhere in the world.
Having been embezzled out of his life
savings by Allen Stanford (now serving
110 years in prison), Stenson's game
went south in a hurry. It is believed that
he lost about $9m to Stanford and, for a
time, he was in the depths of despair.
But the Swede's golf this year has been
nothing short of sensational. Since
July, he has been unstoppable. He
finished second to Mickelson at the
Scottish Open and at Muirfield, he
was second at the WGC Bridgestone
Invitational, third at the US PGA, first at
the Deutsche Bank Championship and
