The Time Between Night and Day

Sonja Lisowski

As some wake to the birds, others will rest.

As you drift off to the crickets, others will rise. Change so distant and short in time.

There is more to the sky than

meets the eye;

Though there is trouble telling their difference between.

Will there be light to come and grow?

Will all fade out to dark?

Does it change and be kind for all to

know?

Has it chosen failure, a friendly foe?

Here hope assumed may go down in flames, At the break all lost can be found.

And only time knows he can share and tell, if one wants to wait and find out.

It is the "to" in night,

The "to" in day.

It leads to another,

Not one, but the same.

The same beginning to a different story,

It is here where few stay long.

It is the time between night and day.

They will always be called dusk and dawn.
