Wrapping
presies
It is almost cheaper to buy
organza material than wrapping
paper these days, and for those
of you who are good at recycling,
the organza will last you for years
to come. Choose a dark organza
so nobody can peek through it
and wrap it elegantly with some
lace, ribbon or another piece of
organza. You could even wrap
your presies in a colour to match
your theme for Christmas!

Wreaths
Why not create a wreath with a
difference? This might be a bit more
fiddly but worth the effort.
Embellishments
Organza is a very cheap way of adding
a bit of glamour and sparkle to your
Christmas decorations. You can use
it in multiple ways and you can buy
any colour to match your home and
decorations. You could use it to drape
over tables, tie around pots, make
wonderful bows and wrap up your
presies in.
What you need
• Sticks
• Thin wire
• Shiny beads / ndoros (from vendors)
• Glue
• Organza
1. Cut sticks into two different lengths
and place them together in a circle.
2. Attach them with wire.
3. Then glitz it up by gluing on shiny
beads and ndoros. Make sure you
place these over the wire to hide it.
Embellished trim is always wonderful
to add as a final touch. It could be used
to tie around pots or line your runners
on the table. If you have got a bit of
time on your hands, buy some beads,
make a small pendant, and attach them
to the trim. It really does add a bit of
interest to it! This is great for draping
over the Christmas tree too.
With more and more things arriving
in the shops these days, we are lucky
enough to be able to decorate our
house with more. One thing to keep an
eye out for is tassels, as you can have
lots of fun with these by hanging them
on trees, candleholders, around the
chairs or sewing them to the end of
your runners.
4. Finally, add a bow made from organza
and hang it up.
