Jacqui made the Cutting Edge exhibition
stand out by using the showy blue from
the Gardena garden products. Yellow
daisies and kalanchoes complemented
the blue umbrellas and bathtub.

Our family team created a water wise
meadow by using flowering plants that
move easily in the wind such as Mexican
sage, bulbinella, verbena, agapanthus,
shasta daisy, scabiosa, gaura, statice,
wild garlic, blue felicia, diamond frost,
juncus and carex grass. We also placed
dew collectors in the garden; these
small flower-shaped steel structures
were designed to highlight the concept
of capturing dew, a practice under
experimentation in arid and semi-arid
areas. Will we see these in gardens
of the future?
