HORTINET SHADE HOUSE PROJECT
Grow more from less,
not less from more!
What exactly is a net house?
It is a naturally ventilated, climate-controlled environment in
which to grow a variety of crops.
A favourable environment will not only control conditions
and factors such as temperature and humidity within the
structure, it will greatly assist with protection against diseases
and various weather conditions, such as high winds and hail
storms, whilst allowing for water saving irrigation practices. A
net house can be as large or as small to suit your needs, your
pocket and the size of the piece of ground you have available
to use.
Key players
In an exciting new development, a turnkey project has been
put together finally involving the key players in the industry.
The partners in this project are all experts in their various
fields and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the
project.
Less of everything else
Apart from the bonus of reduced risk offered by the protection
of the shade netting, your net house will also offer the
following advantages over open-air cultivation sites:
1. Greatly increased yield per square metre
2. Reduced labour costs
3. Lower inputs such as fertilisers and pesticides
4. Savings on water usage
5. Easy to erect on site.
How to find out moreā¦
This project can be presented to banking institutions or NGOs;
an in-depth project document is available covering all aspects
of the net house project. Currently a demonstration site is in
operation at the Prime Seeds Gletwyn Farm Nursery and it
has been very successful.
