uses as an entrance . In fact , her entrance is so elegant and formal , yet full of grace that I almost felt like royalty walking through it – what a wonderful way to make your guests feel , just through your garden . You were first greeted by a row of cleverly shaped Brush cherry trees ( Syzygium paniculatum ) to hide the outbuildings . A strip of lawn divided the two straight beds , and the one was full of brightly coloured calendulas , with taller delphiniums standing proud at the back contrasting the calendulas so well . At the corner , stood a graceful statue eyeing the beauty surrounding her . All these beds , were lined with standard roses , unfortunately , they had been pruned so were not in flower yet , but I would love to see it in full bloom , what a sight that would be !
There is so much we can learn from this garden and implement into ours , such as , more shade and ground covers , create paths to take you around the garden to create interest , but most importantly , take pride in your garden as it certainly does reflect who you are !
Many thanks to Jeanette and her family for sharing their garden with us .
