Data center architecture will need to be updated to handle larger volumes of data from multiple sources , as well . Disaggregated servers can change their compute loads and storage capacity as needed , resulting in a flexible infrastructure that can better meet the data demands of the Zettabyte world .

We are moving into the hybrid era and the datacenter , whether on-premises or in the cloud , needs to be architected for elasticity in a world of exponential data growth . We know that the ability for businesses to gain a competitive advantage is rooted in how data is collected , managed , enriched and visualized , and this starts by having a flexible and elastic set of tools and resources that can evolve at the speed of business . Companies that lag in evolving to support this approach risk being unable to meet the customer where they are , while also being more susceptible to security , compliance and governance issues . All of these risks could set a business back , especially in disruptive periods like those we have seen throughout 2020 .”
