What is your thought process when you take a
photo, for commercial, for travel, for personal
works?
My thought process on personal work is to
capture the subject as it is, uninterrupted, and
unstaged.
Commercial work is something quite different
as you are working with a brief that you have to
fit into your shooting style. No matter what I am
shooting, I always strive to capture the mood
and the moment. It’s a funny thing, even after
shooting 700 or more frames, I can remember
the best captures of the moment… It’s something
that comes to me quite naturally.
How do you celebrate/enjoy your images after
a trip?
A lot of my best travel shots are hanging in
frames in my own home, as well as my family
and friends homes.
I like to give photographs as gifts, it makes them
completely unique and very personal.
It gives me great satisfaction to be able to create
something from start to finish.
What would be some of the favorite images that
you have created and why?
Some of the favorite images I have created are
shots that are really snapped on the run.
I mean, having no plan or pre-conceived ideas.
Again capturing the moment, and in some cases
moments frozen in time that cannot ever be
repeated.
