Q: Do you think your artworks have evolved
over the years? And your ways of thinking?
Of course my ways of thinking have changed.
But I think that’s just the process that we
all go through as we get older. I’m not the
same person as I was 30 years ago. Life’s
experiences change us. I’m not denying who
I was 30 years ago but merely acknowledging
that life inevitably alters us. The confidence,
the rashness, the certainty that we had when
we were young dissipates. The older and
the more experienced we become, the more
we realise how inept we are. Wisdom is the
knowledge that we know almost nothing.
