Q: What is art and what is
photography to you?
It seems to me, particularly these
days, that art is whatever the
artist says it is. It would appear
that almost ANYTHING is art. But
I would add that almost nothing is
fine art.

because I don’t understand it. I like
there to be some kind of point to an
image which I can cling on to, and
with conceptual or installation art
there often doesn’t seem to be one.

I’m from the old school of
photography and I like to see
craftsmanship in imagery. I don’t
like a lot of “installation art” largely
