Q: And what has kept you going all
this time?
The simple truth is that I don’t know
how to do anything else. I’ve never
done anything else and I can’t
imagine myself doing anything else.
I can’t pretend to you that it gets
any easier. On the contrary, the
changes are happening so rapidly
in the industry that it’s difficult for
a man of my years to keep up with
them all. But I still love images and
I still enjoy producing them.

I haven’t done much shooting in
the last couple of years because
I’ve been spending so much time
online, marketing the work in an
effort to make a living from my
photographs and print sales. That
in itself is a difficult thing to do but
the Internet is here to stay and it’s
a wonderful tool and, if you can
crack it, I’m sure it’s a very pleasant
way of making a living.
