Africa Rising, New thinking

..... new opportunities..

Emphasizing the need to equip oneself with knowledge of current and upcoming ideas in order to harness their benefits, Mugo kibati also emphasized the need for Kenyan entrepreneurs to up the game and raise the standards of work in order to compete at the same level of skill, quality and pricing that international organizations are competing with.

More so, the need to look beyond the boarders of our countries to the neighboring markets was emphasized by all the speakers - that the opportunities stretch beyond Kenya into the east, central and even Africa as a whole. Therefore as ICT and infrastructure development opens up the continent, entrepreneurs need to look beyond and compete at a larger platform to maximize productivity and growth. Africa is rising, this is your time, don’t be left behind, He said.

My first LYP Gala NIGHT experience was profound. I had just been elected in as Assistant Director CSR and I couldn’t wait to attend the gala. I jumped right in. At the gala, I realized there was even more to it. I was in a room full of young African leaders, different professionals, people who wanted to make a real difference in their work, country and in the lives of others. I felt privileged to be surrounded by such ambitious people willing to step out of average, mediocrity to become great.

That is what LYP is all about. Greatness, Making a real difference.and developing Leaders.
