No, this is not a cricket or a football match being referred to in the headline! The reference is being made to Forbes Magazine’s list of the world's top 100 highest-paid athletes.
MS Dhoni continues to be the only cricketer with earnings of $31 million. At No. 23, he’s
sandwiched between Rafael Nadal and Brazilian footballer Neymar.
Dhoni has made as much as $27 million while not playing cricket. That put him in ninth
place with footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, more than basketball legend Kobe Bryant, footballers Lionel Messi and Wayne Rooney and even tennis star Maria Sharapova.
The list was topped this year by boxers Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, who between themselves managed to earn $460 million!
