Cricket: India V/S South Africa India lost to South Africa by 214 runs in their fifth ODI recently. The Indian team failed to meet a target of 439 runs set by the South African openers Quinton de Kock, Faf du Plessis and One day International captain AB de Villiers. Falling short of the target, the Indian cricket team lost the series 2-3, leading South Africa to win its first series on Indian soil. India and South Africa have competed 76 times against each other in One Day Internationals (ODIs) since 1991. While South Africa has won 45 matches, India has won 28. Three maches have been declared as no result. An One day Innings or ODI refers to match that is played between two teams, wherein they both complete their innings facing a fixed number of overs, usually fifty.
