Bihar Elections
The Bihar Chief Ministerial elections are one of the first
that the BJP has lost in a big way, after the Delhi elections. This shows that people are growing increasingly disillusioned with the progress BJP is making in developing
India.
It also proves that there are others apart from Modi,
who can win basis their personality.
Thirdly, it shows that when
people unite against one
force, they get positive results. This was the first
time that Lalu Prasad’s Party
Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD),
and Nitish Kumar’s Party, Janta Dal United
(JDU), got together to fight Bhartiya
Janta Party (BJP). The JDU-RJD Alliance won 137 seats together whereas
BJP won only 91. This goes to show
that Bihar isn’t convinced ‘Ache Din aa
gaye hain’.
