Salman Khan Hit and Run Case Salman Khan, the Bollywood actor, has been convicted by the Bombay Sessions court for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and sentenced to five years of imprisonment. On September 28, 2002, Salman Khan had bumped his Toyota Land Cruiser into the American Express Bakery on Hill Road junction in Bandra over a group of people sleeping on the roadside. One person was killed and four others were injured. Salman was arrested for rash and negligent driving against the charges of culpable homicide (a specific offence which involves the illegal killing of a person either with or without an intention to kill).
