Editorial: India– 68 Years of Independence India has been free for 68 years, and celebrated its 69th Independence Day. But are we truly free? Has India achieved the ideals that the founders of the nation had set? The answer would be, yes and no, both. While we have developed in a lot of ways, the development is yet to reach everyone. The rich are getting richer and the poor still have a long way to go. Though 65% of India’s population is below 35 years of age, India doesn’t have enough jobs to accommodate all of them. While the new government is trying to change the scenario, it seems it will take a while to change completely. It’s been 68 years since we have been separated into India and Pakistan, however we are still perpetually at war because of some wrong decisions taken regarding the Kashmir issue. We call ourselves secular, and socialist but we still discriminate basis religion along with caste and gender. It probably is time for us as people, to chang
