Paris attack– Editorial
Rambo and Pranks had been hearing about the terror attacks at 6 places in Paris.
But whenever they’d approach the topic at home, their mother would tell them that
they were too young to know. But then she decided to quench their curiosity and explain what happened, in Paris.
Here’s the story she relayed to them, Once Upon a Time, there was a little boy Ahmed. Ahmed lived in Iraq. Iraq is a country in the Middle East. Suddenly there was
war in their country. Ahmed lost some of his family members. He was very upset
when some people came up to him and asked him to join them. They said, he would
get food to eat and will get a chance to take revenge. Ahmed did not know for sure
who he had to take revenge from. But he joined those people. Those people started
killing all innocents in their own country as well as some others, and started ruling
those countries only because they had been wronged once, and felt that causing
further harm would bring peace. By now they had started getting more and more
fearless and they wanted the entire world to be scared of them. So they started killing more and more people in developed countries . They started hurting more people, and doing horrible things, only because they had been hurt themselves.
Paris was attacked in 6 places, only because some people were crazy to believe it
will bring them peace. These crazy people are Muslims, but Most Muslims are nice
people, It’s just some crazy few who bring the religion a bad name.
So while, what happened in Paris is sad, it is important to know that only some people become terrorists
and they become terrorists only because they
have been through
something bad and got
into the wrong company.
Note to parents: This is
only one way to explain
the Paris attack without
brewing negativity in the
minds of children.
Please spend time with
children to explain this further so that the children don’t breed hatred.
