Nehru's contribution to Society
Nehruji was the first Prime Minister of the nation, and
served the country for 17 years. He actually built India.
The birth of Chacha Nehru
Chacha Nehru was very fond of children. He often
compared children to Roses, saying that ‘children were
like the buds in a garden’. He felt that children should be
carefully and lovingly brought up, as they were the
future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow. He
believed that children are the real strength of a country
and the very foundation of society.
So Here’s Wishing a Very Happy Birthday to Chacha
Nehru, and a Very Happy Children’s Day to You.
The World Chess Championship!
If you love Chess, you would be glad to know we have had
an Indian Chess GrandMaster, 5 times over. Vishwanathan
Anand has won the championship 5 times, in 2000, 2007,
2008, 2010 and 2012. Anand is now all set to win the
championship this year too, at least we hope he does. He
has reached the finals and is playing against Magnus
Carlson of Norway. The two have currently on equal footing;
with two drawn matches and one win each. There are 8
matches left and the one who gets 61/2- 7 wins, out of a
total of 12 matches, to be declared the World Chess
Champion.
If you are interested in Chess, do take a look at the All India
Chess Federation Calendar. Who knows, you could become
the next World Chess GrandMaster.
