A Russian Spacecraft is Plunging into Earth
Have you watched the movie Gravity? If you have, then you would know what damage a field of debris
could cause. Well, even if you haven’t, this video will still help.
M-27M, a cargo spacecraft which was ferrying supplies to an international space station is said to be spiralling back to Earth and could come down between May 5th and 7th if it continues on its current orbit and
speed.
It is impossible to predict where an unmanned, out-of-control Russian spacecraft could crash into Earth.
We can't predict what the pieces will be like when they come down.
If it comes down rather straight and bigger pieces are left, then big pieces the size of your head or a soccer
ball will come down and a field of debris will be created.
If it comes down at a very narrow angle and burns up it, could burn up completely.
he question is how dangerous is it? The answer is that scientists are not quite sure.
However, he chances of it hitting a city or person were extremely low. The surface of the Earth is much bigger than the heads of 7 billion people.
