THE TALLEST FLOATING CHRISTMAS TREE IN THE WORLD
Rio: The worlds tallest floating Christmas tree has been put on display in the Brazilian
city of Rio. The tree is 85 metres tall and weighs a whooping 542 tonnes.
What’s more? It is illuminated with 3.1 million lights.
Thousands of people participated in the lighting ceremony.

Samsung to Launch Its Own Operating System
for Smart Phones
Seoul: South Korea’s Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. Plans to
launch a new smart phone running on its own Tizen operating
sytem in India later this month, according to South Korea’s
Maeil Business Newspaper. Currently the smart phone
company uses the Android Platform. With the advent of
Tizen, its dependence on Android (which is an operating system built by Google, an American
company) will reduce.
