the Line Honours and the hotly contested IRC Handicap Trophy . The quick run up the coast gave them the win on corrected time against the smaller fleet . However , Adrian Van Bellen ’ s J / 22 came a close second on IRC handicap right behind Beau Geste , a commendable effort for his first Coffs race as an owner / skipper .
The day after the presentation , 14 boats from the Ocean Race along with three local Coffs Harbour boats competed in the Solitary Islands race which is a race from the Harbour around South Solitary Island and
back . With a building northeast swell coupled with the 15 knot southerly it made for a quick bumpy race . John Turnbull ’ s Reverie from RPAYC led all the way and won the race .
