The Wrap QBL Round 15 Round 15 | Page 3

welcome to caps nation Welcome to Auchenflower Stadium for the last home and away game of the regular season. ICYMI our own Will Magnay travelled to Italy to participate in the World University Games and the team won a bronze medal and were unlucky not to make the gold medal game and by all reports Will had a very good tournament, and in his return to the Caps he has fitted back in to the team and put in some great performances. The men and women did the Mackay-Rockhampton road trip last weekend and the men came back 2-0 and its been a long time since any caps team has won that tough road double. The women came close to stealing the rocky game after fighting to the end against Mackay. With the end of the regular season upon us unfortunately the women are not in the top 8 so we look forward to seeing how deep the men can go into the finals with the wonderful benefit of home finals. The end of the season sees us also say good bye, farewell and good luck to Shanavia Dowdell who heads back home early next week. We wish you all the best for your next endeavour and thank you for your contribution to our club. In other news around the association we are hosting on behalf of Brisbane Boys College a Bullets Invitational team against US college team Creighton College a Big east Division 1 college on the 12th August at Auchenflower stadium - tip off is 7pm. Tickets are only available on line. In closing congratulations to Jason Cadee who picked up his third player of the round award last weekend. Trevor Lidstone General Manager Brisbane Basketball Co 3
