Welcome to Auchenflower for this week’s home game v
Logan which will provide a challenge for both teams. To
date the men have conquered all before them and now
will face some real adversity due to the impact of injuries
and other absences – it will be a real test of character for
them. Our women are around the mark and just need a
little bit of luck to crack into the winners circle.
We have to get behind both teams to give them some
home court advantage – Logan and their supporters have
no doubt they will be looking to take us down.
In other news congratulations to Will Magnay who was a
judged QBL player of the round last week and we wish
him well in the World Uni Games In Italy where he is
representing Australian Team.
Last week saw the completion of the social grand finals –
photos and winners details are on the Brisbane Basketball
facebook page and website – congratulations to all teams.
The remaining competition is the GBL Gold preliminary
finals this week for the men Vikings Gold v UniReds and
in the women North Brisbane and Uni Reds – looks like
it could be a big night for the UniReds club to get both
teams to the GFs!!! So if you are looking for something to
do on Wednesday night and want to see some high level
basketball then get on down to Auchenflower – entry is
free so bring the family.
