Jamaica is an island and country of the Big Antilles, located in the Caribbean Sea. The culture island is compound mainly by art, dance, religion and music. The main intention of this article is to show a little about this country and its culture.
Jamaica is an important regional tourist center. Its economy is centered in tourism, production of sugar, culture and music. The goods musical ska, rock steady, dub, dance hall, raga and raga jungle have been all conserved in Jamaica. The most popular is REGGAE, this was found by the Jamaicans in 60s to express their political, social and religious ideas.
Thumping, infectious and passionate sound are trademarks of Reggae, Jamaica is the most internationally recognized by the music. Reggae new musical style was born in Jamaica influenced by Rock Steady. It given to know to great scale by the Jamaican Bob Marley who depended by means of this music and he made well-know a culture that expanded at all world. Also, one of the religious icons associated to the Rastafarian culture was the same singer Bob Marley, who is appreciated as a prophet for the Jamaican town and it’s the responsible for the great growing of the religion in the world.
Jamaica is recognized for the music, art, religious, dance and entertainment. Jamaican music is the most popular music in the world and it will continue to be that way for a long, long time.
