Spain is one of the most important touristic places in Europe. It is called the door of Europe. Spain is located in the Iberian Peninsula, in the southwest of Europe. Spain is the third country in Europe as for its size and fifth as for population. Spain has more than 40 million of people. The official language is the Spanish. But in some regions have other languages as Catalan or Galician. The climate in Spain is varied, the summer is hot, and winter is cold. The temperature can varied from 6° to 30°, but in summer the temperature is as high as 40°. The Economy in Spain grew rapidly in the two last decades, from that it was included in the European Community. Spain doesn’t have official religion, but the 73% of population are Catholic.
The tourism in Spain was developed especially during the last years. Spain is the second most visited country in Europe after France and the fourth in the world. To Spain, every year 60 million of foreign tourists arrived. The tourism is the main source of the economy.
When you visit Spain, you have lots of different activities to do, if you are interesting in Touristic Places, you should go the most important cities like Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, and know for example:
Cibeles Fountain: This fountain is the most important symbol of Madrid. It was built at the end of 18th century. This sculpture has 8 meters of high and 32 meters in diameter. This fountain is the place of celebrations by victories of the Real Madrid football club.
The Ramblas: Is one street in Barcelona, of 1,2 Kilometers between the Barri Gotic and the Raval, Nearby is the maritime Museum. In the historical center can be found la Cathedral de Barcelona. This street is crowded during the day until the night. It is full of places that sell newspapers, souvenirs, flowers, also many little places as restaurants, shops, cafes and artist on the street as painters, musician and dancers.
The City or Arts and Sciences: This special complex in Valencia has various areas. The I’umbracle is enormous green area with thousands of plants and trees. The I’Hemisferic an original building in the form of huge human eye, in this you can enjoy the projections, in the planetarium, cinemas, multimedia shows, laser shows, 3d films and others. The I’Oceanografic Europe´s largest marine centre, It is the gigantic aquarium has 45000 examples of 500 species from around the world.
