Gradus Launches New Illuminated Bronze Stair Edging for Use in Premium Hospitality Interiors

Gradus, a leading provider of contract interior solutions, has introduced the XT LED Bronze Stair Edging profile to help reduce slips on stairs while enhancing the ambience of a space.
Designed for high-end environments, the XT LED Bronze Stair Edging is particularly suited to premium hospitality projects, where both stair safety and elevated aesthetics are crucial.
Enhancing safety and aesthetics with LED lighting Part of the established XT Bronze range, the XT LED Bronze Stair Edging features a bronze channel, available in a Polished Bronze or Satin Bronze finish, combined with Gradus’ Impression LED lighting tape. This further increases safety on stairs by enhancing visibility and defining the step riser in low-light settings without compromise to appearance.
Alongside its safety benefits, the LED lighting can also be used to further enhance appearances, offering remote-controlled colour or white temperature adjustment to help create an atmosphere which can adjust to the mood- from warm white to cool white, or even RGB colour changing.
A versatile stair edging solution Its ramp back profile means it can be used in conjunction with a range of popular floor coverings, including LVT, linoleum and other resilient flooring, or where there are no floor coverings installed, providing a versatile, durable solution for some of the busiest and most demanding environments.
The XT LED Bronze Stair Edging is available with three different inserts – including a bronze metal castellated insert- all designed to offer different levels of slip resistance depending on the interior conditions. The unique insert design wraps around the edge of the step, ensuring foot contact is always made and reducing the likelihood of slips, trips and falls further.
For applications requiring consistent material palettes, the new XT LED Bronze Stair Edging has been designed to coordinate with the wider XT Bronze( non-illuminated) Stair Edging range, providing a harmonious and premium finish across feature stairs, secondary staircases and connecting routes.
Developed in-line with the latest guidance The XT LED Bronze Stair Edging has been designed with recommendations from BRE and the guidance contained within BS 8:300-2:2018 and Approved Document M of the Building Regulations 2020, so building owners and specifiers can choose the product with full confidence that it balances safety and style.
