CASE STUDY
Casa Ruffino thus goes beyond the conventional dimension of hospitality to become a cultural as well as architectural project: a place where architecture, interior design and brand identity intertwine in a subtle balance between memory and innovation, building long-term value through coherence, restraint and design depth.
about b-arch b-arch is an architecture and interior design studio founded in Florence in 2000 by Sabrina Bignami and Alessandro Capellaro. Its work operates at the intersection of disciplines, weaving together architecture, interiors, craftsmanship and narrative into a single design identity. Each project begins by listening to the place and the people who inhabit it, transforming functions and constraints into a coherent system of spaces, details and atmospheres. The studio’ s philosophy is rooted in the idea of contamination: a continuous dialogue between styles, eras, techniques and materials that generates an open and deeply contemporary vision. Active in Italy and abroad, b-arch develops projects ranging from residential and hospitality to retail, dining, corporate and industrial spaces. Relationships with companies, artisans and manufacturers are central to the practice, allowing the studio to build collaborative processes that combine technical precision with creative sensitivity. Every intervention, from the definition of the architecture to the design of interiors, is followed with sartorial care— from bespoke furniture to the selection of vintage pieces, artworks and objects that make each space unique. The result is a human and layered architecture, capable of rereading historical contexts and contemporary landscapes with a strong narrative sensibility. b-arch’ s signature can be recognised in the quality of its details, in the balance between memory and innovation, and in its ability to shape places that are not only inhabited, but remembered.
