Rolling Out Solar at Scale in the Hospitality Sector

- GEO GREEN POWER-
One of the biggest challenges for hospitality businesses is rising energy prices- which can be made even more difficult for restaurants and bars with kitchens, hotels with round-the-clock operations and any busy chain with multiple sites.
However, a simple solution to help those in the sector reduce these costs, particularly in the long-term, is to invest in the installation of solar PV systems. While this might be an appealing prospect, it can seem both logistically and financially out of reach, especially for hospitality chains which may want to roll this out at scale.
Here, Kat Auckland, Director of Communications, at nationwide renewable energy installers, Geo Green Power- who specialise in solar- has explained more about this subject.
What Does‘ Solar at Scale’ Mean? This is the design and delivery of a solar PV project on a much bigger scale than a typical one off commercial or domestic install.
Hospitality and leisure venues vary in size and age, an installation on a pub might be similar to a large domestic one and an installation on a multiplex cinema more akin to a warehouse roof.‘ At scale’ for this sector tends to mean rolling out to multiple locations and installing systems of varying shapes and sizes.
‘ Multi-site’ projects often deliver the biggest impact, but they do require a high level of professionalism, experience and expertise to design, manage and implement.
