Nature, Symbolism and Art in the Interior: How We Reimagined Chinese Aesthetics

For over two decades, in the very heart of Almaty among city bustle, there has been a unique, historic location— the Chinese restaurant“ Hanshaim”. Our studio team completed a full renovation of the restaurant’ s ground floor in just 3,5 months from the design concept to the final decorative touches and landscaping.
The main goal was to create a unique atmosphere— Chinese in spirit, but with an author’ s interpretation.
• The central art object became the elegant basrelief composition“ Princess.” Gilded and handinlaid with rhinestones, lace, pearls, and semiprecious stones.
• One of the most challenging stages of the project was the“ Columns”— differing in size, placement, and containing a complex internal system of
