challenge at the heart of the landscape project was to harmonize with the existing rationalist architecture, underlining its historical importance and, at the same time, creating new interactions with its elements.
In this project, greenery has the role of manifesting the vital energy that has moved into the building.
“ When they called us for this project, we began to take a sort of virtual walk through Rome. What do we think the essence of nature in the Eternal City could be? We started from the concept that everything brings us back to the ancient worlds, as if plants had arrived in Rome from far away and slowly settled there, bringing a further story into history”. At the heart of the project is the client’ s vision of reintroducing the essence of Roman nature into the external spaces of the building. Like nature, this vision bursts into space, creating iconic points and redefining the architecture.
“ Great spontaneity distinguishes the image we wanted to give to this project. A Mediterranean garden, characterized by the aromas of pomegranates and olive trees, is contrasted with a garden linked to tropical species, very colorful, which are a clear reference to the jewel effect. The landscape project develops across the various levels of the building, starting from the Portico on the ground floor and extending to the courtyards and Terraces, up to the interior spaces. The Portico, the first space that welcomes guests, is designed to offer an embracing experience. It offers a unique view of the surrounding square, with vegetation that punctuates the entrances and lounges. The different heights of these elements interact with the colonnade, creating a sense of lush greenery and a welcoming atmosphere. The Terraces are places of conviviality,
