The design itself is inspired by the brand’ s rich history of bentwood craftsmanship— its curves, proportions and honest materials echo more than 160 years of tradition. The name, however, comes from something more poetic: a delicate sketch of the actress Cissy Loftus by Toulouse-Lautrec. From this quiet portrait came a muse— graceful, composed and timeless. and the space around you shifts into stillness. Each Cissy is handmade in the historic factory in Bystřice pod Hostýnem— a place where steam and wood have worked in harmony since 1861. Nestled in the Czech countryside, this is the oldest workshop of its kind in the world, where generations of craftsmen have perfected the delicate balance between technique and intuition. Every sweeping line, every seamless joint is a tribute to this legacy— not just of craftsmanship, but of confidence. The story is completed by the exclusive seasonal mix: three Cleo fabrics— Peach, Water and Gold— curated by Norguet, together with soft Elmosoft leather in Green. Each fabric has been hand-selected to enhance the sculptural form of the design and reflect Norguet’ s refined sensitivity to colour, texture and materiality.
