The Reed Family stem from a long line of English cloth weavers with a heritage spanning 170 years , five generations and includes some of the most pioneering experts in the industry . They are the original Great British sheeting family . Today , the Reeds still weave their cloth to the same exacting recipes engineered by their Grandfather Amos Hargreaves Reed who started weaving cotton on his sheep farm in Northeast Lancashire .

Reed have provided solutions to all manner of challenges faced within this demanding industry and earned the respect of many a ‘ Head of Housekeeping ’.
Working closely with designers and specifiers to produce bespoke designs and colours to suit each space or project , Reed also offers a variety of embroidered , dyed or monogrammed options . Many of the colours available in the Reed collection are the result of collaborations with designers wanting to achieve specific outcomes for their projects . The hallmarks of the ‘ Reed Difference ’ are generous hems , mitred corners , reinforced shoulders and cord stitching . Every piece is hand-made to order for hotels or homes and delivered straight to your door from their mill . Ensuring that the cotton is grown , spun and manufactured in the same area reduces the impact on the environment and is therefore more sustainable .
